VTG offers a variety of firearm classes at a state-of-the-art classroom and range facility. Classes range from beginner firearm fundamentals to red dot handgun training.
Private training available for individuals and groups upon request.

VTG is a passionate company dedicated to providing the highest level of firearms training and safety education to responsible gun owners.
Our commitment to each client is to help them reach new levels in their marksmanship and gun handling skills; identify, meet and exceed performance objectives; and ultimately to provide foundational training that leads them to perform on demand while participating in recreational/sport shooting or personal defense.
RUBEN V AQUINO JR
VTG CHIEF INSTRUCTOR
Prior to retiring from public service in 2022, Ruben served over 24 years as a Nevada law enforcement professional as a criminal investigator with City, County, and State agencies. He retired as a Division Chief Investigator who oversaw uniformed patrol functions and undercover operations for over 11 years.
During the span of his career, Ruben served as a law enforcement firearms instructor certified by Nevada Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST). He has taught firearms and tactics to officers who possessed varying degrees of training and experience ranging from academy recruits to seasoned police veterans. He also has years of experience teaching in the civilian sector specializing in basic, intermediate, and advanced shooting skills.
Ruben began shooting when he was 8 years old and enjoyed recreational shooting with his father. His passion for shooting led him to competitive archery at the age of 12 and becoming a life-long bowhunter. During his early twenties, Ruben began training and competing in action shooting sports and participated in shooting events held by the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA); International Defense Pistol Association (IDPA); and Cowboy Action Shooting Society (SASS).
Currently, Ruben continues to participate in monthly USPSA and IDPA matches. He continues to be a “Student of Shooting" and regularly attends firearm training courses held locally and out-of-state. Ruben is passionate about sharing his knowledge and continues to actively train and inspire others in furthering their shooting skills and obtaining personal goals.
